Yahoo! Messenger has millions of users all over the world and although each of them can control their very own contact list, they still can't decide when to be removed from someone else's buddy list.

But that's a thing to forget because even if Yahoo! Messenger doesn't provide that feature, Y Buddy does, so you can easily remove your account from someone's contact list in a jiffy.
